Hi.
This page hosts one of my favorite shows of all time, Kaiba.
It is an anime created by an intriguing artist named Masaaki Yuasa.
It is 12 episodes long, with each episode running about 22 minutes.
It is in Japanese with English subtitles.
The show is a science fiction story.
The major themes are the nature of the self, memories, and love.
It was broadcast on TV in Japan, but in the US would be considered for mature audiences due to some weird sexual content.
Let's say PG-13.
I don't know. Do you like cool stuff? I really like it. It's trippy. If you're into philosophy, you'll probably like it. If you like stories with depth where you realize something new every time you watch it, you'll probably like it. The show demands your full attention to watch properly. You should be wearing headphones and doing nothing else. It's very moving and sad at times. The art and music are weird. Even if you aren't normally interested in anime, you might like this one, as it's pretty unique. Try watching this YouTube video. It has the premise and opening song.
First of all, I've just uploaded the entire series to YouTube on HD. You can watch it here. But if you prefer to download the files yourself rather than watch them in split up segments, see below.
Since it's not licensed in the US, it's legal to download and watch on your computer. I'm hosting the files below for you. However, the anime scene likes to use weird file formats. They use them because they are the best quality at small file sizes. They also have good subtitle and chapter support. These are HD, high quality files. It's how you should watch Kaiba.
The most popular one right now is called Matroska, and that is what Kaiba was released as. The files are encoded in AVC/H.264, but with Matroska (".mkv") as the container format. The subtitles can be turned on and off, and should be on by default. In order to play Matroska you're going to have to install some stuff, but it's not that bad.
Here are the files. The total size is 3.11 GB. Enjoy!
